The School of Smart Automotive and Mechanical Engineering has two departments, the Department of Smart Automotive provides education to cope with the future automotive mechanical technology, and the Department of New Materials Processing focuses on practical work required by industries. The School of Smart Automotive and Mechanical Engineering is advancing as the hub department to develop competent individuals with practical skills required on industrial sites by executing employment agreements with industries related to mechanical engineering, companies in the Gunsan National Industrial Complex, finished car manufacturers, automotive parts and components manufacturers and companies related to electric cars in Jeollabuk-do, as well as realizing new education models for school and industry cooperation.

School of Artificial Intelligence Convergence

Securing employment with the partners of Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries

The Department of Shipbuilding in School of Artificial Intelligence Convergence develops professionals who will lead the shipbuilding and ocean industry of Korea in the 21st century. The Department of Shipbuilding helps students to acquire the basic knowledge related to shipbuilding engineering through the harmonious curriculum of basic studies and practical studies, allowing students to understand of the basic features and structures of ships, develop the ability to supervise shipbuilding and inspection, and perform hull assembly work.

-The Department of Shipbuilding aims for 100% employment immediately after graduation through custom curriculum on the basis of school and industry cooperation agreements with a wide range of shipbuilding-related companies.
-In particular, students can get a job in the partners of Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries through a business cooperation agreement with Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co., Ltd.

The School of Global Tourism has the Department of Global Tourism and the Depart- ment of Korean Culture. Nationality

  1. When an applicant or a parent of the applicant had dual nationality, including Korean Nationality, the applicant is not qualified for the admission for international students.
  2. When an applicant and parents of the applicant give up Korean nationality, the certificate of denationalization shall be submitted. 

Academic Requirements

  1. Those who graduate (will graduate) from a high school by fully completing the curriculum abroad equivalent to elementary, middle, and high school curriculum of Korea (the curriculum from the 1st to the 6th grade abroad is considered as elementary school, that from the 7th to the 9th grade as middle school, and that from the 10th to the 12th grade as high school curriculum).

8. Bank statement, one copy (deposit of over 16 Million KRW)
9. Two photos (3.5cm x 4.5cm taken within the past 6 months)

10. Health certificate, tuberculosis vaccine certificate
11. Documents related to the Korean language program (certificate of completion, transcript, attendance certificate, enrollment certificate), one copy each (when a previous education institution is a Korean language school in Korea)
